About Me

My name is Wanda and I have been married for 28 yrs. I am a Mother of 3 and Grandmother of 2 boys and 3 step boys plus 1 step girl but I love them all the same. I am an Aunt inwhich some are related and some have just adopted me. I love them all and they inspire me each and every day. Currently I am working on cards and swaps but hopefully I will start working on scrapbooking. I hope you enjoy my art work as much as I enjoy creating it.

ABOUT MY FILES:

My files are created either in my Inkscape program (free), using a 12x12 matt format, or my Sure Cuts Alot program. I cut my files using my Cricut Expressions in combination with my Sure Cuts A Lot software program.

At this time I don't have any tutorials explaining how I do this but if you go to YouTube you can find all kinds of tutorials. Also my good friend Penny Duncan has made some extraodinary tutorials and svg files. Just visit her blog at

http://www.pennyduncancreations.com.

Thank you for visiting my blog and I hope to see you back again and again!! Have a Blessed Day!! Wanda

In an effort to help everyone find cutting files for use with their Sure Cuts A Lot program, I have started a webring. This webring allows visitors to jump from site to site and find files they need. So if you have svg's files or any other cutting file to share then join my webring and build up traffic to your blog!! Click JOIN below....Thank You!

My Scrapbox Book

Today is Sunday which means it is Scrapbox Sunday Challenge day. I made another mini book with my scraps and tried to make a tutorial on how I made it. I hope it is understandable if not please just ask and I will try to better explain what I did.
How I made my book:
Materials:
12 x 12 backing off of book of scrapbook paper. It's thick but not too thick.
Lot's of scrap paper that are color cordinated.
Crafting glue, I used Martha Stewarts.
Tools to cut paper and hole punch.
I used my Cricut Expression to cut shapes out of my scraps.

First thing I did was cut my backing into 4 6x6 pieces as shown below.

Here you see my scrap paper in piles according to how I am going to use them. The larger pieces will be used to cover my 6x6 backing and the smaller pieces will be used to cut shapes out of them.

Here I have already covered my 6x6 backing on both sides.

Here I cut some extra backing I had to make tabs for my pages using my Cricut. You can get the SVG files for my tabs in the post below.

I then marked my book cover with a pencil so I could put 2 holes on the side. After punching out the holes I then used the book cover as a template for the other pages so all the holes would be in the same place.

Here I am making my binding for my book to hide the edges and make it look more like a book. My book is a half inch thick so my scrap cardstock paper is 3 inches wide.

I measure one inch on my front and back cover to glue my binding down.

After I glued my binding down I used my hole punch to and existing holes as a guide to punch holes into the binding.

I then used ribbon to bind all my pages together. Use extra ribbon so you can open your book.
Here are the results.......ENJOY!!

This card is in SCUT format. For technical reasons I could not make it an SVG file. Just click on the picture to get the SCUT file....ENJOY!!

Congrat it's a Boy Card with Folding Technique

I used a different folding technique for this card that my sister requested and then for the picture, which I found on the internet, I used the "Pyramid Decoupage" technique. I then added my 8 petal flowers, in 2 different sizes and color, to the corners. Click on the picture below to get the free SVG file.....ENJOY!!

Ace of Diamonds with Folding Technique

This Ace of Diamond was made for a swap. It is 2 1/2 by 3 1/2. I made the diamond seperate from the card and for the letter "A" I used my Cricut by replacing my blade with a miniture Sharpie marker......ENJOY!!

ATC with Folding Technique

This ATC was made for a swap. The theme of the swap was "A pumpkin with a child in mine". This ATC is only 21/2 by 31/2 so the cuts where very delicate and a bit challenging to fold but I love the end result.

Tag with Folding Technique

I designed and made this tag for a swap using the folding technique. You can find these cuts on Penny's blog if you wish to make your own designs with them. I think I have found something that I really enjoy doing. You will see more of this type of designs in the future. To learn how I make these read my post below called "Thanksgiving Card"........ENJOY!!!

Thanksgiving Card and SVG file

This card was made for a swap I am in. To make this card I once again used Penny's cut file for the edges and then I used store bought embellishments to complete my card.

How I made this card. This card is 3 layers. I glued 2 pieces of paper back to back with spray adhesive. (note: you can skip this step if you have double sided paper.) Then I cut them on my Cricut. After I cut them I flipped the large triangle backward and then folded the large triangle under the small triange. When you do that the back side get flipped up and you can then see the design from that side. After I was done I turned my card over face down and sprayed the backside with spray adhesive and then layed a 3rd sheet of paper face down on the back side of the card giving the front of the card a background color inbetween the triangles.
NOTE: When using spray adhesive hold your paper in a large trash can or bucket so the spray will not get all over everything. Also you can use a clothes pen to hold the paper on the very edge instead of holding it with your fingers so you won't get the glue on you.

Click on the picture below to get the free SVG file of the Card I created using Penny's Folding Technique cut file. If you want just the cuts you will need to go to Penny's website....ENJOY!!
